Resize a Photo to 8.5×11 Without Cropping
8.5×11 is a paper size, so it's what you need when the photo is going through a home printer or into a document. Photos never match it. Upload yours below and we'll extend the scene to fill the page rather than leaving bands of white or cutting the picture down.

Why 8.5×11 Cuts Things Off
US Letter is 17:22, a shape no camera shoots. Printing a photo onto a full sheet therefore means choosing between white margins, a stretched picture, or a crop. Extending the scene gives you a fourth option — a full-bleed page that's still the photo you took. It also gives a home printer the overlap it needs, since most can't print truly to the edge.
Instead of trimming your photo down to the shape, we generate more of the scene around it until it fits — and sharpen the whole image in the same pass.

8.5×11 Questions
Why are there white edges when I print a photo on Letter paper?
Because the photo isn't the same shape as the page, so it runs out before the paper does. Extending the scene to 8.5×11 fills the sheet without stretching anything.
What about A4?
A4 is slightly narrower and taller than Letter. Enter 8.27 × 11.69 inches, or 21 × 29.7 centimetres, in the size fields after uploading.
