Resize an Image to 1920×1080 Without Cropping
1920×1080 is the shape of almost every screen and slide, and almost no photograph. Upload yours below and we'll extend the scene sideways to a true 16:9 instead of cropping the top and bottom off.

Why 1920×1080 Cuts Things Off
16:9 is much wider than anything a camera produces, and dramatically wider than a phone photo. Cropping a 3:4 portrait to 1920×1080 discards over half its height, which usually takes the subject's head with it. Extending sideways is the only way to get a widescreen image out of a tall photo and still recognise it afterwards — and the result is rebuilt at full resolution, so it stays sharp on a large display where softness is obvious.
Instead of trimming your photo down to the shape, we generate more of the scene around it until it fits — and sharpen the whole image in the same pass.

1920×1080 Questions
How do I make a vertical photo fit a widescreen slide?
Extend it rather than crop it. We generate more of the scene to the left and right until the image is 16:9, so the original photo stays whole in the middle.
Is 1920×1080 the same as 4K?
1920×1080 is Full HD. 4K is 3840×2160 — the same 16:9 shape at twice the linear size, and you can enter it in the size fields if you need it.
