Magnific vs Resly AI

Magnific is known for creative upscaling: it invents new detail on purpose, which is wonderful for AI art and concept work and a risk for a family photo. It's now sold as part of a broader monthly credit plan with image, video and audio models. Resly is narrower: sharpen a photo and fit it to a print size, paid per image. We make Resly.

Where Magnific is better

  • Creative control. Sliders for how much new detail to invent, which is the point for AI art.
  • The bundle. If you'll also use its image, video and audio models, one plan covers them all.
  • Higher plans include Topaz's upscalers as well.

Where Resly AI is better

  • Built for photos people will print, with the size control and print resolution set for that.
  • Reshaping to any frame or post size by extending the scene.
  • Pay per image, with no account and no monthly plan.

Magnific vs Resly AI: questions

Is Magnific good for old family photos?

Magnific is designed to add detail that wasn't there, which can change faces. Resly also uses a generative model, so it can change small details too, but it's tuned to keep people and shapes as they are. For the most faithful restoration, a dedicated tool like Topaz is the safer choice.

How much does Magnific cost?

Its plans start at $20 a month, or $14.50 a month billed yearly, with higher tiers at $45 and $110 a month. Upscales are paid for from the plan's credits.
